Regeneration empowerment: Xavier's 20,000-ton single-cell protein project helps rural revitalization
In Hengzhou, Guangxi, sugarcane tails and corn stalks have been criticized for burning. The "20,000 tons per year single-cell feed protein project" created by Zeweier Organic Source and the Tianjin Institute of Industrial Biotechnology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences not only solved this environmental problem, but also opened up a new track for the resource utilization of agricultural waste.
Technological revolution: bacterial enzyme synergy, straw becomes "gold"
The project adopts the bacterial enzyme synergy technology patented by the Tianjin Institute of Industrial Biotechnology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Through directional enzymatic hydrolysis, the cell wall of the straw is broken, cellulose is converted into fermentable sugar, and then metabolized by bacteria to generate single-cell protein. The head of Zeweier R&D revealed: "The crude protein content of "Peptide Duozhenle" produced from sugarcane tails is as high as 20%, the crude fiber is controlled within 25%, and the amino acid content reaches more than 15%."
Triple benefits: environmental protection, economic and social win-win
Environmental value: The project consumes 100,000 tons of straw annually and reduces CO₂ emissions by 60,000 tons, which is equivalent to the annual carbon fixation of 7,000 acres of forest.
Economic value: Single-cell protein can replace 30% of imported soybean meal, alleviating the "bottleneck" problem of 80% of feed protein in my country relying on imports.
Social value: Create 200 jobs for Hengzhou, increase farmers' income by 80 yuan per mu of straw, and truly realize "turning waste into treasure".
Future blueprint: From Guangxi to the whole country
At present, the project has completed the pilot test and obtained production license, and will achieve full production in 2025. Zeweier plans to replicate this model in major agricultural provinces such as Heilongjiang and Henan, build production bases, and process more than one million tons of straw annually.
